Frequently asked questions

The app can't find my location

Make sure Lunch Munchr has permission to use your location while in use:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Lunch Munchr → Allow “While Using the App”
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Lunch Munchr → Permissions → Location → Allow

No restaurants show up

Try these fixes:

  1. Increase your search distance (slider at the top)
  2. Check that you have an internet connection
  3. Try a different cuisine

The app shows the wrong restaurants

Lunch Munchr relies on Google's Places database. If a restaurant is listed incorrectly or missing, you can report it directly to Google Maps.

How is the “Top 5” determined?

Restaurants are ranked by their average Google rating (stars) among nearby places matching your cuisine and within your set radius.

Why does the app need my location?

To show restaurants near you. Your location is used in real time only, sent to the Google Places API to return results, and never stored or shared elsewhere.

Does the app track me?

No. We don't collect any personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
